Framwellgate School Durham: Identity Refresh and Application (2019 – present)

Located within a community of high-achieving schools, Framwellgate School Durham operates on the values of honesty and integrity; on the quality of relationships; on respect and empathy for others; and on a genuine passion for learning. Highlighting these values and communicating them effectively across the community was a key focus for the school.

Aims:

  • Refresh the brand to represent aspiration and achievement.
  • Raise the profile of the core values and vision of the school and sixth form across all key platforms.  
  • Showcase the core values to prospective parents, staff and pupils through a series of transition campaigns, ensuring that these are embedded prior to entry into Y7 or Y12.

We started working with Engaging Education following a recommendation from another school and haven't regretted it for a minute. They have provided us with signage and branding, designed our publications including options booklets, our prospectus, and in-house materials for our students, such as our book of knowledge organisers. Their photography and films are second to none and we've used this to showcase our work with parents and stakeholders. Best of all has been the complete redesign and build of our new website. We are so pleased with it; it's informative and beautifully designed. Each member of the team is good at their job and really listen to us. Engaging Education has delivered superbly, and we'll continue to work with them.

Our role:

  • Refreshing the identity of the school and Sixth Form.
  • Applying the new identity to a range of materials including: a new website, social media campaigns, key marketing materials, core documentation and internal signage.

Outcomes:

  • Increased parental engagement through online channels of 67%.
  • Established a consistent approach to transition through materials, films and targeted campaigns.
  • Implemented a wide range of projects to deliver against the brief of an identity refresh, including: interior signage/displays, web and online, digital channels, core materials and stakeholder engagement campaigns.
