A Decade of Impact: Celebrating NCW & NatWest’s Partnership

National Careers Week (NCW) occupies a vital place in the education landscape. Each year, it brings together students, educators and employers in a national conversation about careers, helping young people explore their options and take steps towards brighter futures.

This year marked a particularly special milestone – ten years of collaboration between NCW and NatWest. To honour a decade of shared purpose and progress, NCW – a long-standing client and partner of Engaging Education – asked us to create a dedicated impact report celebrating the journey so far.

Alongside their broader annual report, this standalone publication was designed to shine a light on the outcomes of the partnership, focusing not just on numbers, but the real people and real stories behind them, individual moments and the long-term difference made in classrooms and communities across the UK.

A Clear Brief, A Shared Celebration

From the outset, this project was about more than reporting. It was a chance to celebrate the legacy of a partnership that has supported – and continues to support – thousands of young people with careers guidance, financial education and opportunities to dream bigger and find their professional passions.

We built on the familiar framework of the NCW2025 report, adapting it to reflect NatWest’s brand identity and the unique character of their ten-year journey with NCW. The result is a focused, accessible and thoughtful digital publication that captures both the scale of the impact and the human stories behind it.

Design That Brings Stories to Life

We worked closely with NCW to create a publication that was visually engaging, easy to navigate and emotionally resonant. NatWest’s branding and colour scheme were used throughout, ensuring the report felt personal to them while remaining true to NCW’s voice and values.

To add depth and meaning, we incorporated short case study films and animated spreads, giving the report a more interactive and engaging experience. These elements allowed it to do more than present data and statistics – they helped tell a story. The voices of young people and educators bring the work to life in ways that feel both grounded and inspiring.

Alongside the report, we also created a suite of digital campaign materials to mark the milestone, including countdown animations, carousels, graphics and short-form videos.

Our focus throughout was on creating something that felt genuine, uplifting and purposeful while, of course, remaining informative: a fitting tribute to a long-standing collaboration that continues to make a difference.

Collaborating on the NCW x NatWest Impact Report allowed us to spotlight the real, measurable impact of National Careers Week. Including our emotive films helped deepen that message, engaging readers on an emotional level.

Publishing with Purpose

The NCW x NatWest impact report is a great example of how digital publishing can be used to communicate not only results, but also values. By weaving together data, video, testimonials and social reach, the report offers a rounded view of the partnership’s broad impact, while also providing a look into the individual lives it has touched.

This project reflects a wider goal at Engaging Education: to create immersive, easy-to-use, informative and detailed online publications. We believe that when digital publishing is approached with care and creativity, it can deliver thoughtful and emotive experiences that stay with the reader – without sacrificing clarity or depth.

At Engaging Education, we believe in the power of clear, creative storytelling – especially when it’s used to highlight work that matters.

The impact report includes statistics, case study films and social media coverage to demonstrate the impact of the NatWest partnership with National Careers Week.

Looking Back, Looking Forward

Over the past ten years, NCW and NatWest have worked together to help young people explore career pathways, develop confidence and gain crucial skills for life and work – impacting the lives of over seven million learners across the UK. This report celebrates that legacy – and the many ways in which the partnership has opened doors and expanded horizons.

We’re proud to have supported NCW in telling this story, and to have played a part in showcasing a partnership rooted in progress, inclusion and opportunity.
